Industries that Use Conveyor Systems

There are different types of conveyor systems today. These types include belt conveyors, overhead conveyors, lineshaft roller conveyors, screw conveyors, gravity roller conveyors, wire mesh, plastic belt conveyors, belt driven live roller conveyors, gravity skatewheel conveyors, pallet conveyors, slider bed conveyors, chain driven live roller conveyors and many more.

Many industries such as agricultural, automotive, electronic, computer, aerospace, chemical, pharmaceutical, and packaging use conveyor systems to move products. Conveyors are also common in the bottling and canning, printing, food processing industries as conveyor systems help in the efficient conveying of materials like bottles, cans, automotive components, pills and even furniture. Conveyor systems come in different sizes and designs as well, depending on the need of the company. Many manufacturing and warehousing operations are highly dependent on conveyors when it comes to the transportation of bulky materials from one place to another. Since the use of manpower and forklifts to move big and heavy things can be costly and dangerous, the use of conveyors is more preferable.

Since the year when it was first invented, conveyors have been developed and redesigned for better, faster and more efficient performance. Some companies even use conveyors that can be monitored and controlled by a computer.
