Fitness Program Against Heart Disease

Coronary Artery Disease, often called by many as Coronary Heart Disease, is a condition where the insides of the coronary arteries are narrowed by the build up of plaque on its walls, thus reduces the blood flow towards the heart muscles. Coronary Artery Disease is the most common type of heart disease in the world. In the United States alone, it is the leading cause of fatality for both men and women. Since the plaque that builds up on the inside walls of the arteries consists of minerals, fat, and mostly cholesterol that are contained in the blood, obese individuals are the most common victims of CAD. As awareness of this heart condition is continually raised and brought up by many health organizations including media advertisements, many people responded by monitoring their cholesterol intake and taking a healthier lifestyle by going to the gym to work out or using programs like the p90x fitness program to guide them through the path towards becoming healthier.

Many have been successful in becoming healthier with the use of p90x workout and other fitness routines introduced by professional fitness experts and consultants. Combined with the proper nutrition intake, the effect is more impressive. Proper nutrition doesn’t mean eating less and not eating foods that contain fat and cholesterol. One has to remember that cholesterol is an essential cell membrane component of mammals that establishes proper membrane fluidity and permeability. Therefore, being a member of the mammal family, lack of cholesterol in the blood of humans is not a positive thing.

In fitness and nutrition programs, proper nutrition diet is simply the monitoring and the maintaining of the right amount of calories, minerals and cholesterol intake.
