As social network websites tend to grow faster every year, few of these sites charge fees. Some social network services ask for payment from people, businesses and companies that want to put their advertisement online.

There are also websites that offer their services of web hosting. Some of these sites may have free membership to have a more appeal to people around the world. They allow the member to create and design his own website and the company will serve as his website host. They may also allow a member to build or create an e-shop for his business. This may help entrepreneurs to sell their products to more people. Yet, as free membership may allow a member to create and design a website he can use for personal or business purposes, the website he created will still contain the name of the company host as part of the domain name and his website may also contain advertisements from the web host. Also, free memberships may pose as a limited account.

If the user wants to have a website with his own domain name and without the web host’s advertisements, he may choose to upgrade his membership. Upgrading membership may require a certain amount or fee as the member will have to buy rights to his account while the company will still serve as his provider.
